Age/Appearance: Daniel looks surprisingly young for his age. He is 43 years old. Overall he is has an athletic appearance and surprisingly muscular for a nerd. He has short dark brown hair, blue eyes, and slightly tanned skin.

Please note that this Daniel Jackson is a from a canon biased alternate time line, taking place during the movie Stargate: Continuum. Daniel is from the original continuity timeline that as flung into an alternate timeline created by the actions of the Goa’uld Baal. While in that time line, Daniel lost his left foot and leg up to the knee due to frostbite. He now wears a prosthetic and walks only with a slight limp though he sometimes requires the use of a cane. Specifically, he is taken from after the Goa’uld finally make themselves known to this alternate Earth and he gets to say “I told you so,” to the top brass.

Personality:
Daniel likes to see the best in everyone. He’s caring, compassionate, and passionate. Above all, he wants to understand, both people and the past. Since the death of his parents he had always felt out of place and left out from the rest of the world. In many ways, that is what helped jump start his interest in archeology as it made him feel closer to his parents. He is a man that is used to being shunned and outcasted because of his opinions and theories. He spent the majority of his life fighting tooth and nail for what he believed in. He fought first among academics then later on countless battlefields across the galaxy. Even as a warrior, he prefers not to kill at all if a conflict can be resolved non-violently.
His core beliefs revolve around a strong moral compass, in doing what’s right. An idealist by nature, he believes in the strength of the human spirit. Despite accomplishing much in his life… he still has a lingering doubt of failure. For everything he’s done, he has still lost much and never seems able to completely forgive himself for that. No matter how much good he does, he will still inwardly crucify himself the smallest fault, the smallest failure.
He has the type of personality that inspires trust in those around him. Sometimes the complete trust of a total stranger. That said, he finds it hard to let anyone get too close. The one person he let in fully was his wife, Sha’re, their life was happy until she was taken from him and later killed. The wound left in his heart never fully healed, as a result he keeps anyone that might be ‘true love’ at arms length. Out of fear of being hurt once again.

Sexual Preferences/Orientation: As an academic and anthropologist, he can openly talk about sex and every kink in the world without so much as a blush. He is often oblivious to others interest in him, though the cause of the obliviousness varies depending on the person in question.
Pansexual is the easiest way to describe his orientation. For him, it’s more about who the person is on the inside than what they look like or even their gender. Personally, he objects to being labeled based on sexual preference. Oddly enough, he will sometimes seem almost asexual when he is hard at work on a translation, archeological dig or any sort of puzzle. The man has a sexual "off" switch.

Powers: It’s not so much of a power but… Daniel has come back from the dead on more than one occasion. He has been able to ascend to a higher plane of existence twice. He did eventually return to his human form both times, however.
Reason for playing: Well, primarily, his voice flows very easily for me. He is also used to being in strange places with strange people; it makes him ideal for any panfandom game.
And being Goddamn sexy doesn’t hurt either.
